The new plant is next to a plant owned by American Acryl NA LLC, a chemicals manufacturer that has its headquarters in Pasadena.
The nearby Houston Ship Channel and the Bayport shipping terminal employ many from Pasadena. The Ship Channel has numerous terminals and berthing locations on Buffalo Bayou and Galveston Bay. Major public terminals include Turning Basin, Barbours Cut and Bayport. The many private docks include the ExxonMobil Baytown Complex and the Deer Park Complex.
